Rejoicing or Mourning Over You

Just as man is destined to die once, and after that to face judgment, Heb. 9:27. Dear reader, for how long will you continue wallowing in sin? What shall we say then? Are we to continue in sin so that grace may increase? May it never be! Romans 6:1-2. In as much as God loves sinners so that they may come to repentance, God hates sin. For this reason, He sent His only begotten son Jesus Christ to save. John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Life everlasting is eternal life; it is the life after we might have been transformed from this mortal body which is the time when we are no more here on this earth.

No matter how long we live here on earth, one day we must return home, for the world is like a marketplace, whether we like it or not, one day must be one day when we shall say bye to this world. Knowing this truth, how are you then preparing for eternity? The question here is; Where will you spend your eternity? In heaven where God's kingdom (with angels and the saints) is, or in hell where there is agony, weeping, and gnashing of teeth (with un-repented sinners and the enemies of God including the devil)

Life is not the way you think it is; it is not as long as you think, according to the book of James 4:14; Somebody can be seen in the morning, and in the evening the story will be he/she is no more because man is like vapor that appears for a while, then vanishes.

Remember the rich man's story in Luke 16:19-31. The rich man was living his life as he pleased. He was not conscious of leaving the earth one day, so he decided to enjoy life (by dressing in fine linen and feasting lavishly every day) without thinking of where and how he would spend eternity. Of course, many things can stop life, e.g... accidents, killings, poison, sickness, etc. Just like you cannot stop death, the rich man could not ask Mr. Death to give him more time. So the rich man died. Death is certain whether you are poor or rich, small or great; death is real. The rich man died and was buried but he was in great torment. In Hades, he shouted for Mercy and requested water due to agony in the flames, but it was too late for him. Even when he begged that the dead in heaven should be sent to warn his five brothers left on earth that they may not also come to such a place of torment, he was told that they cannot be persuaded even if someone rises from the dead... Luke. 16:31. I ask you, dear reader, again, "Where do you want to spend your eternity?".

Then I saw the dead, the great and the small, standing before the throne, and books were opened. Another book was opened which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works... and anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire. Revelation 20:12-15.

So, the only way to escape this eternal agony is to know Jesus: Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Jesus John 14:6-7.

"But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name," Jesus says. "I have come so that they may have life and have it in abundance". Since, abundant life, which is eternal is in Christ, why not give your life to Christ today and repent from your sinful ways?

Remember this, those who plan to give their life to Jesus Christ at 12 noon, end up dying at 11:59 am. So, you cannot keep postponing the day of salvation. The best time is NOW.

Repent and be saved now!
