Bible Verse
“But to each of us grace has been given as Christ apportioned it. It was he who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers”
- Ephesians 4:7, 11
The Thought
Amazed at what this topic is about? Definitely you would be. Last week, we talked about In Him and now I’m telling you, you have it.
The Next Question
WHAT DO YOU HAVE?
Before we talk about what we have, we need to understand who we are before knowing what we have. And the simple definition of who we are is that we are Children of God and God’s workmanship. Which means, we all have a measure of God’s gift in us.
Whenever we see someone exhibiting a gift, jealousy, hatred and pride shouldn’t rise within us.
We all have different gifts in us. So, focus on that which you have within yourself and use it for the main reason why you were given the gift. And who knows if the gift is truly from God? That is why we need to test all spirits.
Beyond being amazed at a gift, there are ways to request for this gift but your intention must be made known. And below is how you can covet or get the gift of the spirit that you want:
Prayer to God
Prayer for you for the gift you need by the person that has the gift you want
Sow a seed into the life of the person that has the gift you want
In Genesis, we are made to know that “we are created in God’s image”. Meaning we are to look exactly like God in all we do. We are not to be jealous about anything anyone is doing. But do all we do unto the Lord and not unto man.
The BIG Question
IF YOU HAPPEN TO BE GOD, WILL YOU BE PLEASED BY WHAT YOU ARE DOING?
Conclusion
The fact that someone is manifesting in a gift that is different from yours doesn’t make the person an “I too know” or “Spirikoko”. Each person is given a gift according to the measure of grace he/she has.
Until next time,
Shalom!
